Book 4 1/2 provides further practice in syllable division between consonants, with open and closed syllables, with syllables ending in -y and le, and with three-syllable words; and the vowel digraphs ai, ay, ea, ee, oa, ow, taught in Book 3. It also teaches syllable division with silent-e syllables and with three consonants. There are two review lessons and a four-page posttest.
