What is the Brainspring Library?

The Brainspring Library is a digital library and reader for Brainspring Phonics First^® Level I, Structures^® Level I, and Brainspring Level II course materials and other digital supplemental materials.
Is there a user guide for the Brainspring Library?

What are the benefits of using the Brainspring Library?

The Brainspring Library is portable and allows the user to annotate and edit notes and bookmarks using the annotation tools. Customize your Brainspring Library using digital features that make lesson planning easier.

Additionally you will always have the latest revision of the Brainspring course books in your collection.
Do I need special software or hardware to use the Brainspring Library?
The Brainspring Library is a cross-platform application that runs on most Windows, Chrome, and Apple computers and Android and iOS mobile devices.

How do I get to the Brainspring Library login page?

Go to the Brainspring Library login page at reader.brainspring.com. There are also links to the Brainspring Library in the Learning Portal when a course is active.
Will my Brainspring Library always be available to me?

The Brainspring Library will be available to you as long as your account stays active. Inactive accounts are archived after a year.
Archived accounts can be reactivated for a fee. Contact Us to learn more about account reactivation.
Do I need to purchase multiple copies to load the Brainspring Library on multiple devices?

A licensed user may log in on up to three devices
Can I download digital books on my portable devices (phone or tablet)?

Some pages may be exported for print. Exported pages can be sent directly to a printer or saved as .pdf files.
Sharing or distributing any pages outside of your classroom or student groups is prohibited.

The desktops and laptop online applications only access books online and are not downloadable.
On portable devices, the digital book must be downloaded to the app and can only be viewed in the app.
How long does it take to download a Brainspring digital book?

The browser version of the Brainspring Digital Library is available online only and is not downloadable. When using mobile device apps, downloading the book is necessary to view content and should take less than a minute per book depending on your internet speed.
As a teacher/administrator, may I download a digital book for possible course adoption?

Contact Partnerships to schedule a Brainspring Library demo and to receive introductory materials.
Can I make copies, share, or print digital books for myself, colleagues, and students?

While specific content is exportable for printing, digital books are licensed to an individual teacher to only use with their students. Licensing does not permit the sharing or printing of Brainspring digital books outside that parameter.
Is the print version of the courseware still available to purchase?

As of 2024, the most up-to-date Brainspring courseware for Phonics First^® Level I, Structures^® Level I, and Brainspring Level II courses is only available online via the Brainspring Library. Supplemental materials will also be available in the future.
Can I purchase Brainspring digital books without having taken a course?
We currently offer a few digital books for sale independent of our courses.

Is the Brainspring Library accessible to individuals with reading barriers?

We are currently reviewing the Brainspring Library for WCAG Level A accessibility guidelines
What file format are the Brainspring digital books?

Digital books in the Brainspring Library are not available outside of the library. However, some pages may be exported in .pdf format.
What is the return policy for e-books?

Can I use the Brainspring Library outside the US?

While we cannot verify that all countries or regions will permit this app via computer or mobile device, the Brainspring Library should be available wherever an internet connection allows it. Brainspring Partnerships can provide a demo account.
