Each bag of our special blend contains brilliant emerald-green sand mixed with coarse black sand. Write in the Magic Sand and the green sand shows through. When the tray (sold separately) is gently shaken, the black magically rises to the top.

Magic sand is a kid favorite.
My students love writing in the magic sand. With COVID, I needed extra sand and sand trays so students have their own sand and tray. Brainspring makes ordering so easy. Some of our teachers have even been spraying the sand with the disinfectant spray as a precaution because of COVID. I opted to purchase each child their own tray. I have their names on the trays and have them stacked in one of those paper organizers for classroom. The magic sand was one of our biggest fears for spreading germs, but their are so many ways to still use it. You just have to come up with a plan that works for your situation.

Kids love this sand. It changes color from black to green as they write in it with their finger. very little mess if you have a good lip on your tray or paper plate.
